Pigeon Hole Press is a fine art printmaking studio and publishing project located in Chicago’s Edgewater neighborhood.
We collaborate with invited artists and clients to develop and publish original print-based artwork and limited editions, focusing on copperplate etching. Our process is motivated by a commitment to the work of emerging artists, the advancement of the intaglio medium, and a passion for the dynamic relationship between artist and printer.

Our studio is located at 1064 West Catalpa Avenue in Chicago, one block from the Bryn Mawr Red Line Station and about five blocks from Foster Beach.
We print using a Charles Brand etching press, with a pressbed measuring 16 x 30 inches. It’s small but it gets the job done! We are equipped with ferric chloride baths for etching copper plates, a rosin box for creating aquatints, and a wide selection of inks and papers.

Pigeon Hole Press offers contract printing and consulting services on a case-by-case basis. When inquiring regarding contract services, please be as specific as possible about the proposed project.
While we are open to many types of projects, our facilities and skill sets are best suited for copperplate etching and intaglio mediums.
